HMO,PPO,POS,HMO Plans

HMO, HMO is known as Health Maintenance Organization, working in USA. This organization provides health coverage with the help of physicians, doctors and hospitals. There maintain a Compromise between these providers (hospitals and physicians). Under this contract these providers have to follow certain guidelines. Under this contract, HMO provides patient to the doctors and hospitals, in return providers works on low premium.

The Health coverage providers works under different model. First Model is the Closed-panel model, under which the physician are the direct employees of HMO, and they get salary directly from them. This model is the staff model with closed-panel. IN closed-panel model there is also model for group model in which the HMO pays to a group of people, and then this group distribute the money by it self.

Second Model is the Open –Panel model, under this model the physician contact with the independent working association, also known as IPA. IN this model the physicians have the facility that they can manage their clinic by their own.
